Night Jobs that Pay Well
People seek night jobs that pay well for various reasons. Some need a second job, others just like the freedom and the hours in the evenings and overnight. There is a trend now in which people are rejecting the idea of 9 to 5 and would rather pursue freelance, consulting and part time jobs so that they can make their own plethora of income streams. It helps, though, if these jobs produce a living income.
Management
Night jobs that pay well are usually management positions. As with most management jobs, a Bachelor’s degree and experience is usually required. One can enter a manager occupation by becoming promoted from within a company, or by applying from the outside. Here are a few examples:
Warehouse manager: This supervisory job involves knowledge of shipping and receiving departments, distribution, forklift operations, and product fulfillment operations. The warehouse operates on the 2nd and 3rd shifts and the manager oversees employees, inventory, and clean-up for the next day.
Information Management: IT departments that function at night need managers in the areas of cyber security, back up procedures, hardware and software purchase, maintenance, installation and upgrades, and to staff and supervise employees including database administrators, programmers and computer technicians. The manager is responsible for solving crisis events to the computer systems.

Other Recommended Night Jobs
If management isn’t in your wheelhouse, there are other night jobs you may not have thought of.
Jobs in Oilfields: Although these are not part time night jobs, you can get two weeks on working and 2 weeks off at a time. Companies like ConocoPhillips need engineers, cooks, administrative staff, equipment operators, drivers and even security. Similar to this are jobs fishing and manning small boats.

However, take notice of how many people you have to share your tips with such as the bus person and food runner. A similar well-paying job is at a local pub where they sell food and drinks. You will have less staff to split your tips with and people are less picky about the food and service.
Other positions with great tips that pay well over all are bartender, cab driver, limo driver, pizza delivery driver, hotel concierge, and valet parking.
Teaching: If you have a State license, you can substitute teach and grade papers or tests online. If you are just talented or intelligent, you can teach music lessons, voice lessons, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish language lessons, ski lessons, tennis lessons, figure skating lessons, dance lessons, computer lessons, tutor in math or science, or martial arts. A lot of these teaching occupations can be done virtually online with Skype.
Security Guard: If you are willing to get a license and associated training, you can work at night at many different locations especially if you live near a college, stadium or casino. If you can set aside time to train, becoming a correction's officer is a great job with benefits.
Jobs in Healthcare: Hospitals run all day and all night. Therefore, they need staff on night shifts. Jobs range from entry-level housekeeping and medical assistants to those who are trained as Phlebotomists, CNA's, Nurses, and Doctors.
Not all night jobs pay well and might not be worth bearing the hours, however, there are some positions as noted that can not only bring in good extra income but can also be interesting and fun.
